Antonio Puerta Pérez es un jugador de fútbol nacido en Sevilla. Procede de las categorías inferiores del Sevilla Fútbol Club. Forma parte de la hornada de jugadores que están saliendo en los últimos tiempos, como Jesús Navas, Alfaro o Kepa Blanco. Con este último solía jugar como internacional sub-20 hasta que fue convocado con la absoluta.

Fue el que logró el gol de la victoria que metería en la final de la UEFA y haría campeon de Europa al club hispalense.

Antonio Puerta siempre será recordado por los culés y los sevillistas por crear una magnifica jugada personal en la supercopa de Europa. «Onde está Deus?»

É pelo menos a quarta vez na minha curta vida que vejo alguém morrer de uma forma estúpida. Primeiro o Paulo Pinto, depois Hugo Cunha, Fehér, e agora este jogador do campeonato espanho Antonio Puerta Pérez com apenas 22 anos de idade.
O primeiro morreu estupidamente no piso do pavilhão do Aveiro Basket, vítima de um ataque cardiaco fulminante. Estes 3 jogadores de futebol em pleno relvado, atraiçoados pelos seus corações. Ambos eram jovens, muito jovens. Ambos estavam sorridentes pouco momentos antes. Ambos tinham grandes planos para o futuro que parecia risonho. Ambos tiveram bombeiros e médicos em seu redor, tentando, a todo custo, salvar-lhes a vida. Ambos morreram.
Eu não lido bem com a morte. Nunca lidei. Sobretudo se ela chegar sem qualquer aviso prévio que me permita ir preparando o coração para a perda. Conhecia bém o Fehér e o Hugo Cunha PUERTA apenas de nome. É um choque enorme para todos os amantes do desporto estas mortes inesperadas e totalmente estúpidas. Como alguém disse, “para morrer só é preciso estar vivo”. Não há verdade maior do que essa.
Em memória de ambos, e de todos aqueles a quem a morte levou, façam todos um minuto de silêncio.
